Our Story

Grow By Three is a product of social entrepreneurship, and rose out of an attorney’s goal to further contribute to the everlasting fight toward social justice. Grow By Three was designed to create shifts in organizational culture, and assists individuals in successfully accessing new opportunities.

Grow By Three seeks to impact organizational culture in ways that can promote engagement, diversity, inclusion, and the reduction of bias in our society. The organization also works to help individual clients elevate themselves to spaces in which they can work toward serving their purpose and attaining their goals.

Who We Are Seeking

Grow By Three is seeking a talented Client Specialist to support its professional development work. The perfect match for this role has worked in higher education advising or admissions in the past. The Client Specialist must feel confident talking to clients, providing strategic professional advisement, tracking data, and managing administrative tasks to support meticulous record-keeping. The Specialist must be able to work well on a collaborative team. In addition, the Specialist must be extraordinarily attentive to detail; perfectionists are encouraged to apply.

General Requirements

Candidates applying for Grow By Three’s Client Specialist position must be able to:

  • draw on a background or degree in the fields of Law, Education, Sociology, Social Work, Higher Education Administration, or other related areas;

  • draw on experience serving in an advisory capacity within higher education or other professional environment;

  • read, review, and synthesize documents thoroughly and carefully;

  • support client scheduling and advising processes;

  • draft notes regarding client interactions that are detailed yet succinct;

  • draft, send, and respond to emails in a client-focused, respectful manner;

  • employ Grow By Three’s processes and methodology for advising;

  • upload sensitive documents from databases with care and attention;

  • monitor client database to keep track of activity;

  • create weekly reports on client activity;

  • liaise between different departments to coordinate the flow of necessary information;

  • communicate thoughts and feedback at an extraordinarily effective level;

  • navigate Microsoft Excel with a high level of proficiency;

  • use Track Changes in Microsoft Word;

  • adhere to very strict rules and security measures relating to confidentiality of information;

  • manage time at an exceptional level, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines with specificity; and

  • brainstorm and collaborate well with others.

Additional Requirements

Candidates applying for Grow By Three’s Client Specialist position must:

  • meet for orientation on Tuesday, May 31; Wednesday, June 1; and Wednesday, June 15 of this year (2022);

  • dedicate up to sixteen hours a week during the months of June, July, August, September, October, and November of this year (2022) and January, February, March, April, May, and June of next year (2023);

  • be able to provide organizational support on specific weekends and evenings;

  • care about the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our society;

  • show a desire to support others with compassion and empathy; and

  • demonstrate extremely high levels of attention to detail and enthusiasm under time constraints.
